Opening the academic year with a taste of the academic year - let the semester begin

The University of Miskolc offers education at all levels of education and training, from higher education vocational training, bachelor's and master's programmes to doctoral studies, in eight faculties and in more than 300 degree programmes, said Prof. Zita Horváth, Rector of UM. In the green surroundings of the campus at the foot of the Bükk Mountains, students can find everything they need for their daily life in one place: student hostels, modern research laboratories, libraries, a swimming pool, a sports hall, a canteen, student club. She also mentioned that UM students are supported by a number of scholarships, foundation, community and social grants, and they can also participate in study abroad programmes in 25 different countries during their studies. The foundation-based operation of the institution offers the opportunity to further develop the innovation and research activities that have been established over the past decades, and the university not only offers a profession, but also trains responsible intellectuals, concluded Prof. Zita Horváth.

After the festive Senate meeting, the university's leaders - Prof. Zita Horváth, Prof. Péter Szűcs and Dr. Roland Szilágyi - presented the "Taste of the academic year" cake. With this, the University of Miskolc officially entered the 2022/2023 academic year.
