Why would you recommend UM to new applicants?
The University of Miskolc, played a key role in the advancement of science and in professional education and training. The institution evolved into a complete, significant university during the last few decades of the 20th century, adding new faculties of economy, law, arts and humanities, health care, and music to its traditional three technical faculties of earth sciences, materials sciences, mechanical engineering, and informatics. It also added continuing education programs and higher level vocational training. Around 10.000 students attend the university, while close to 600 academic staff members help an approximately same number of technical and administrative workers also high ranked university, and one of the best in academic records last year

Earth Science
Explore geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and hydrogeology to learn about the fascinating and complex world under your feet.
Earth Sciences teaches students about the nature of our world, from rocks and soil to water and the impacts of climate change. We rely on natural resources such as minerals, oil, organic materials, gases, and the water we consume. Who discovers these buried and precious resources? We are a geoscientist!.
After we graduate, we 'll be qualified for the Professional Geoscientist designation and be able to increase Energy standards, create effective environmental protection programs, and more developments in terms of Energy and Mineral Exploration.

This is Emad N Masri, PhD Candidate in field of Earth Science and Engineering, A highly motivated “Exploration Geophysicist” +4 years’ experience with strong background and interest in Rock Physics and Seismic Exploration 2D,3D and Implementing work on geoscience applications by using Machine Learning ML.
Currently working on a project using Amplitude Versus Offset (AVO) analysis for geothermal exploration in the Little Hungarian Plain (Hungary) at the University of Miskolc
