CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2ND SEMESTER,  ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/24

TRAINEESHIPS/PLACEMENTS  ABROAD FOR  STUDENTS

 

DURATION OF PROJECT:  from 1 January 2024 onwards till 30 June 2024, applications are accepted as long as the financial resources are available. The traineeship can start at any time as agreed with the host company.

Students can find the host company on their own, or they can ask for the help of the faculty coordinators, or they can use the following links for help:

Mode of application: electronically, by filling in the online application form and attaching the required documents in scanned form. The application form (AF) can be printed before filling to be used as a draft. The AF can be reached by clicking on the link at the end of this call.

Who can apply:

  1. self-financed/fee-paying international students and Hungarian students who have full-time student status both at the time of applying and when doing the traineeship abroad. 
  2. all students who have full-time student status at the time of applying, but will be recent graduates (degree holders after graduation) at the time of the traineeship

Number of months to be applied for: min. 2  months /study cycle. Multiple applications for studies and/or traineeships are allowed within the 12-month limit in the same study cycle.

Deadline of application: continuous (applications are accepted as long as the financial resources are available)

Decision-making procedures:

Applications are assessed and applicants are ranked in priority order by the Erasmus+ Committees of the faculties and the placement coordinators. Faculties pass their decisions to the Erasmus+ Office and the final decision (place of the traineeship, number of months, individual grant support) is made by the central Erasmus+ Assessment Committee. Applicants will be informed about the results by the Erasmus Office.

Erasmus+ traineeship priority areas: developing digital skills.

The areas listed below are highlighted objectives of the traineeship:

digital marketing (e.g. social media management, web analytics); digital graphical, mechanical or architectural design; development of apps, software, scripts, or websites; installation, maintenance and management of IT systems and networks; cybersecurity; data analytics, mining and visualisation; programming and training of robots and artificial intelligence applications.

690 € / month

 

Financing will be awarded for the period indicated in the letter of acceptance (or for a shorter period up to the 12-month limit if the student has already used the majority of months previously for studies/placements). The extension of the placement is possible depending on the actual budget and the 12-month rule. The Erasmus+ grant does not cover all expenses, students should be prepared for partial self-financing or looking for other sources.

Zero-grant status: if the number of applicants exceeds the limits of the available financial sources, applicants will be ranked in waiting lists, or they can be awarded Erasmus+ status without grant. In such cases, they will be self-financing Erasmus students.

Awarded Erasmus+ grant:

The grant will be awarded for full months, but will be recalculated when the participant makes a Grant Agreement with the university. 

SPECIAL TYPE OF TRAINEESHIP:  RECENT GRADUATE (after graduation)

For graduate international students, the conditions of participation in this type of traineeship are as follows:

No grant agreement is made or no grant is transferred if the above conditions are not fulfilled.

Mode of workingThe Erasmus+ grant can only be given for the period actually spent in the host institution.

Consequences of giving false information:

Submitting false data or documents in the application may lead to serious sanctions, even disqualification from the application round.

RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE APPLYING:

Both the application for the Erasmus grant and the arrangements with the host company  require serious  and thorough preparation. Students will face quite a big amount of administrative procedures. Please read and study all available information at the Erasmus homepage and keep permanent contact with the host company. The lack of information will make your preparation very hard.
