SHORT DESCRIPTION: The objective of the programme is to train mechanical engineers who are able to work out, model, design, operate, control and maintain concepts for mechanical systems and processes; to develop engineering technologies and processes, new materials and manufacturing technologies applying them in an energy-efficient and environmentally conscious way; to perform leadership, control and organisational tasks; to perform tasks of technical development, research, design and innovation; to participate in and control national and international engineering projects. The programme also prepares students to continue their studies at doctoral level.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:

Stage 1 – Preliminary filtering based on uploaded documents:
Applicants, who are not eligible (no bachelor’s degree, no language certificate (B2 or higher) of any kind, or a certificate of study conducted in English, or having bachelor’s degree but from such field that does not comply with the requests of the intended studies) are rejected immediately. Those students, whose uploaded documents comply with the regulations, may be informed on possible dates to fix on the entrance exam.

Stage 2 – Online Entrance Exam:
During the 20-30 minute online entrance exam and within the first few minutes the Entrance Examination Committee of the Faculty requests the candidate to report on his/her professional background and motivation related to the study field. This is followed by an approximately 15-20-minute-long online interview focusing on the applicant’s professional skills, carried out by the same two entrance examination committee members, who shall make the final decision. This evaluation can be resulted in one of the following options:
-    is accepted for the study programme:
-    is conditionally accepted for the study programme
-    is rejected

Stage 3 – Final Evaluation:
Applicants can score a maximum of 100 points. Applicants who score at least 66 points will be admitted to the intended program. Applicants who score less than 66 points will be rejected.
 

CAREER PROSPECTS: Graduates are able to carry out innovative tasks and participate in engineering projects in Hungary and worldwide. Design engineers are demanded at almost any fields of industry, e.g. vehicle manufacturing, machine manufacturing, production engineering, etc.
