The Regional Studies Association held the RSA Central & Eastern Europe Conference in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on September 10-13. At the gala dinner the president of the association presented the RSA Routledge Early Career Award (for researchers under 35 years of age) to Dr. Dóra Szendi, assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, based on her submitted paper. This is the first time a member of the university has been recognised by the organisation.
Several researchers from the faculty took part in the conference, presenting a total of six papers in different sessions, in connection with the project EFOP-3.6.1-16-00011 "Younger and
Renewing University - Innovative Knowledge City - institutional
development of the University of Miskolc aiming at intelligent
specialisation". Conference participants arrived in large numbers from England, Scotland, Germany, and Australia, as well as from Hungary and Romania.
