Chinese visitors on campus

Following their summer visit, a group of faculty members from Beijing University of Chemical Technology visited on 18-20 October. The delegation was led by Dr. Chen Dongshen, a former president of the university, and also included Dr. Wang Yongsheng, vice-president for international relations and exchange programmes, and Dr. Wu Jun, deputy dean of the College of Economics and Management.
The guests were welcomed by ME’s rectors, Prof. András Torma, vice-rector Prof. Tamás Kékesi, Prof. Béla Viszkolcz as director of the Institute of Chemistry, and the two directors of the Confucius Institute.
During the two days of their stay there were discussions, cultural programmes and factory visit. The main focus of discussions was concrete planning for future joint activities, and students were also able to gain useful information about Chinese scholarship programmes.
