The three-year Horizon 2020 project entitled “Reinforce the scientific excellence and innovation capacity in logistic technology of the University of Miskolc” has wound up with a press conference. The one-million-euro project, coordinated by the Institute of Logistics, was carried out by a consortium with Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V. IFF (Germany), Technische Universitaet Graz (Austria) and Intelligentsia Consultants (Luxembourg). Among the outcomes were 128 academic publications and 68 conference presentations.
At the press conference, director of the Institute of Logistics Prof. Béla Illés announced that the Master in Logistics programme was gaining a new specialisation, Industry 4.0 Process Engineering. The curriculum was worked out in partnership with Robert Bosch Power Tool Kft., and part of the practical/workshop sessions will be held at Robert Bosch Power Tool Kft., thus expanding the practical knowledge of students. At the press conference the importance of practically oriented engineering studies was emphasised by László Fükő, general manager of Robert Bosch Power Tool Kft. and by its technical and operations director Tamás Járvás in relation to the new specialisation.
