ME TAKES PART IN GUINNESS RECORD ATTEMPT

The 118 elements of the Periodic Chart of Elements were displayed during a performance by university staff and students on 13 December.

The aim of the performance was to introduce the periodic chart in an innovative way, as part of an initiative started by Eszterházy Károly University and the Hungarian Chemical Society.

The performers were nearly all of the teachers, researchers and staff of the Faculty of Materials Science, along with doctoral students (Hungarian and international) and many of the students in the Chemical Engineering BA programme, which began last year. They were joined by an enthusiastic group of teachers and staff from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics, which also teaches in the programme. Dr. Gábor Muránszky of the Institute of Chemistry acted as the main organizer.
