ANYONE CAN NOW ACCESS AIR POLLUTION DATA FOR MISKOLC

3. September 2021.

Working together, UM and the local government of Miskolc have set up an air quality sensor network in the city and data from it are now  publicly available at the site pmmonitoring.hu

The website and network are the outcomes of an R&D project, HungAIRy, and Miskolc is one of the pilot cities. One aim of the project is to inform residents: the site offers  information and advice (in Hungarian) and a map with icons makes it immediately clear what the air pollution conditions are in which parts of the city, based on the input from its network of 60 sensors.  Further aims of the project are providing detailed data on particulate matter to researchers and identifying areas for improvement of air quality.
