UM TEACHERS GIVEN PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS

The Day of Hungarian Higher Education was celebrated with an awards ceremony, with four teachers of the University of Miskolc being recognised for their achievements.

 

Dr. György Kenderes (associate professor, Faculty of Law): the Eötvos József Award for his 35 years of energetic, excellent and innovative teaching of labour law, his scholarly activities, and work on various committees and within professional organisations.

Dr. Erika Csemáné Váradi (associate professor, Faculty of Law): Apáczai Csere János Award for her work in the areas of criminology and alternative dispute resolution, the exceptional attention paid to teaching, including teaching methodology for post-graduate courses, and her contributions to the faculty as a vice-dean. 

Zsuzsanna Hutkainé Göndör (engineering teacher, Faculty of Material Sciences and Engineering): Ministerial Certificate of Merit for her conscientious work in the teaching of physical chemistry and guiding laboratory sessions over her career and her role in setting up the new chemical engineering programme.

Dr. Tamás Mende (associate professor, Faculty of Material Sciences and Engineering): Ministerial Certificate of Merit for his work as a vice-dean, particularly in student recruitment, dual training programmes, and collaboration with partner companies, as well as his role in maintaining the Selmec student traditions.
