The HUNGARIAN CULTURE FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS course deals with the following topics: 1. Introduction, 2. Hungary’s geography, 3.
Hungary’s history, 4. Hungary’s economy, 5. Hungary’s population and religion, 6. Famous Hungarian people and their heritage, 7.
Well-known Hungarian discoveries and inventions, 8. Well-known Hungarian brands, 9. Famous Hungarian sights, 10. Hungarian holidays, celebrations, traditions and customs, 11. Hungarian cultural values, norms and behaviour
The INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION course deals with the following
topics: 1. Introduction, 2. The definitions of culture, the models of culture, 3. Intercultural communication, 4. Verbal and non-verbal communication, 5. Stereotypes, prejudice, adaptation, 6. Culture shock, 7. Cultural dimensions: Geert Hofstede’s model, 8. Cultural
dimensions: Fons Trompenaars’ model
If you are interested, you can apply by signing up for one or both of the courses in the NEPTUN system.
The NEPTUN code of the Hungarian culture course is: MEIOKHUCULT, its
name: Magyar kultúra külföldi hallgatóknak.
The NEPTUN code of the Intercultural communication course is: MEIOKICC, its name: Interkulturális kommunikáció.
If you cannot sign up, the NEPTUN administrators at your Faculty can help you.
The deadline for signing up for the courses is: 4 February, 2022.
During the first week of the semester we (all the students who sign up and the teacher) will agree on a suitable time to hold the courses.
