STUDENTS FROM 50 COUNTRIES AT UM THIS YEAR

Hundreds of international students returning for the new semester were greeted at the Welcome Day organized for them.

 

Krisztina Sándor, International Director, said that international students are the cornerstones of the internationalisation process of the University of Miskolc. Nearly 400 students study at one of the 24 English-taught programmes of the university. This semester the most popular degree programmes are the MBA and programmes at the Faculty of Earth Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics..

 

 

Student voices: Mohammad Jaber said that he chose UM because of the high quality of education, the opportunity to participate in a wide range of research and the wonderful environment.

 

Mohammad Kashour: "The educational staff at the university is very experienced, supportive and helpful. And I really feel like I’m home here. I enjoy my life here and I enjoy my life at the dorm. the university is a beautiful place, it has the most beautiful campus in Hungary. And Miskolc is a peaceful and beautiful place."

 

 

Wallyson Thomas Alves Da Silva has already joined the international student and alumni network ISAN. "I was recently nominated the coordinator of ISAN from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics. And I was really pleased when they told me that, because I will have the opportunity to put not only my ideas but the ideas of the community of the students to participate in planning tours in the companies in Miskolc. Also cultural events, scientific talks. So, I’m really happy that I was nominated because I could express the ideas of the students to the whole community of the University of Miskolc," he said

 

Ruba Deeb advised all her friends to come and study at the University of Miskolc. "I advised to all my friends to come and study here. Not only that you have a welcoming environment, you have a true scientific research environment where you can practice your skills."
