CIRCLETECH PROJECT: 'THE TIDE LIFTS ALL BOATS'

06. January 2023. 16:20

The University of Miskolc is the only university in Hungary to win the European Union's Circular Economy competition. Two prestigious universities with high international rankings will work together in the CiRCLETECH project until 2025. How do the Dutch see joint thinking?

Dr. David Peck, researcher and lecturer at Delft University of Technology, stressed that EU projects can only work as EU activities if the Member States all grow and enrich together.

Commenting on the implementation of the CiRCLETECH project, which will run for three years, he said that the participating universities should be at the top of their game in terms of ambition and vision. They need to be able to address leading policy makers, business and academic leaders across Europe and be highly ambitious.

"A raising tide lifts all boats. So, when it lifts here we all lift together. Three year programme and lots of opportunity for colleagues in Miskolc, in Lappeenranta, in Delft. But actually further than that with our networks all across Europe – with our partners all across Europe we can really make a difference," he concluded.
