MISKOLC PREPARES FOR EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIP

The University of Miskolc is preparing for a major European university sporting event in the summer of 2023: the European University Water Polo Championship.

Tamás Kovács Cs. , Technical Delegate for Water Polo of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), visited the University of Miskolc during his recent visit and assessed that the city's water polo achievements have made Miskolc a real showpiece in the recent period. And after this major sporting event, there is even more room to build on results and traditions.

"Coming from Eger, I am familiar with Miskolc as a neighbouring town, and I have many water polo experiences here. I think both the University of Miskolc and the city will be a fantastic venue for the 2023 University Championships and the 2024 Games. A water polo citadel has grown here in recent years that the city can be proud of. I am confident that Miskolc will continue to be a strong point for Hungarian water polo in the years to come", he said.
