Selmec, Sopron, Miskolc 260 

The 260th anniversary of of mining, metallurgy and forestry education being promoted to the level of an academy in Hungary was commemorated by the University of Miskolc and the University of Sopron, two institutions that trace their roots back to the founding of the 'Bergakademie' in Selmecbánya. 

Visit of the American Ambassador 

The Ambassador of the United States of America, David Pressmann, visited UM for the first time to discuss partnerships and deepening of relations.   

The richest higher education offer in the region 

"Learning gives you the opportunity to achieve anything in the future," said the opening of the University of Miskolc Open Days. The most wide-ranging higher education offer in Northern Hungary was presented to prospective students for the "Campus of Knowledge and Community" on 1 and 2 December.  

185 parcels brought by Santa Claus Run 

The University of Miskolc organised a Santa Claus Day run, which collected Santa packages, chocolates and sweets. The donations were collected by the Sütni Jó! Foundation for underprivileged children.  

A concert closed the Christmas 2022 programme of the University of Miskolc 

The Bartók Béla Faculty of Music wished all the citizens of the University of Miskolc a Merry Christmas with a year-end concert.
