"WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE WORLD?"

The students of UM commemorated Earth Day by planting flowers to raise awareness of the need to protect our natural environment.

UM, in line with its “Green and Smart Campus” goal, has taken and is taking several steps towards sustainability: a solar park has been built on the roof of building A/1, water vending machines have been installed to reduce the use of plastic bottles, and most recently, in November 2022, a pilot selective waste collection programme was launched in cooperation between the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Engineering and the municipal waste collection company MiReHu NKft. The university joined the „TeSzedd! - Volunteer for a Clean Hungary” waste collection movement this year, too.
