ON MATERIALS TESTING, IN ENGLISH

Dr. György Czél, professor at the Institute of Energy, Ceramics and Polymer Technology of the University of Miskolc, has compiled a missing textbook in English on the methods of materials testing. ’Material Testing’ is a reference book for foreign students of engineering materials science to deepen their professional knowledge. By writing this book, the author also wants to inspire his fellow professors to join the ranks of foreign-language textbook authors at the University of Miskolc.

’Material testing is a textbook on materials testing, which was ultimately written at the request of students’, says the author, Dr. György Czél. The inspiration for writing the book came from the fact that in recent years an increasing number of foreign students of different qualifications, studying in English, have started their studies at the University of Miskolc, coming from their own countries with different qualifications. Many textbooks have been published in the field over the last decades, but none of them aims to provide a comprehensive knowledge of the subject. This has now been remedied by a professor at the University of Miskolc, who has previously written a summary in Hungarian.
