For several decades, the University of Miskolc has been collaborating with Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, which has a prominent position in international rankings. Professor M. Akbar Rhamdhani, representing the University, visited Miskolc to discuss possible research collaborations in the near future.
Prof. M. Akbar Rhamdhani from the internationally renowned Swinburne University of Technology came to the University of Miskolc, where he was hosted by Prof. Dr. Péter Szűcs, Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Tamás Kékesi and Prof. Dr. György Kaptay. He participated in a working meeting, a laboratory visit and gave a lecture to the students. But he also met personally with a delegation from the Eötvös Lóránt Research Network and with Balázs Gulyás, the president of the organisation, thanks to the cooperation agreement that Eötvös Lóránt Research Network had just signed with the University of Miskolc on the same day.
M. Akbar Rhamdhani said. The recovery of e-waste is a really important area where more and more students should get involved in research and try to contribute to solving the problem. And we need to find ways to make this research area attractive to young people. It is important to recognise that they will be working in an important area that can provide solutions to the world's problems. We need young students and researchers to be part of the team," said the professor from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, who outlined opportunities for further research and collaboration.
