AMONG THE BEST IN THE WORLD RANKING

The University of Miskolc has been ranked among the world's best in the most cited QS World University Ranking 2024 in the international higher education arena. The University of Miskolc is ranked 1201-1400th, and 9th among the Hungarian universities in the report, which was recently published by the British global higher education analyst firm QS Quacquarelli Symonds.

The UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds assesses the performance of the world's higher education institutions according to nine criteria: the academic standing of the institution; student employability and employer feedback; the ratio of faculty to students; the citation rate of academic papers; the number of students in faculties; the proportion of foreign faculty and researchers; international research collaborations; the number of students abroad; and the institution's efforts in social and environmental sustainability.

The QS World University Ranking 2024 includes 1499 higher education institutions from 104 countries around the world, including 11 in Hungary.
