The University of Miskolc and the Partium Christian University of Oradea have extended their cooperation agreement. The partnership agreement signed with the Faculty of Health of the University of Miskolc on 14 November 2023 aims to further deepen the educational, scientific and professional relations between the institutions, and to promote the mobility of teachers, researchers and students.
The institutionalised relationship between the two institutions started in February 2020 with the signing of the scientific and research cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and the Institute of Regional Studies of the Partium Christian University and the University of Miskolc.
he new cooperation with the Faculty of Health of the University of Miskolc offers an opportunity for the two institutions to mutually enrich the educational and research opportunities of the wider region, including third mission and social development activities, said the Rector of the University of Miskolc prior to the signing of the cooperation agreement. Prof. Dr. Zita Horváth stressed that the university's roots in Selmecbánya also oblige the institution to support Hungarian higher education beyond the border and to contribute to the preservation of the Hungarian language, culture and science.
Speaking on the details of the partnership, Dr. Emőke Kiss-Tóth, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Miskolc, said that the institutions will give priority to educational activities within the framework of the cooperation, with special attention to the possibilities of developing the training offer, the "double degree". Joint research could be launched in areas of mutual interest in the fields of economics, social and health sciences, with particular emphasis on health promotion, health tourism, balneology and health social work.
