As many as four lecturers of the University of Miskolc were given a prestigious award by Zoltán Balog, Minister of Human Resources in the celebration held on occasion of Teachers’ Day on 4 June.
For their outstanding teaching, research and educator activities in higher education, Dr Péter Zsombor Körtesi, lecturer at the Institute of Mathematics of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics, and Prof. Dr Ilona Görgényi, university professor at the Institute of Criminal Law of the Faculty of Law received a Szent-Györgyi Albert Award. This prestigious award is given every year to individuals establishing a new school of thought and performing internationally renowned activities in their fields.
Anetta Ádám, lecturer in the Teacher Training Institute of the Faculty of Arts received an Apáczai Csere János Award. This award is given for oustanding achievements in the field of education and special needs education or outstanding scholarly activities supporting educational practice.
Mihály Dobróka, university professor at the Institute of Geophysics and Space Informatics received an Eötvös József Award, which is given every year for outstanding achievements in education, for lifework and for commitment to the teaching profession.
