HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WALKED TO FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER AT UM

Hundreds of people joined together and took part in UM's Pink Walk to raise awareness about the importance of screening, prevention and health awareness. The Faculty of Health Sciences organised the 'Stop Breast Cancer' Pink Walk at the campus as a tradition-building event.
DIRECTIONS FOR SKILLS DEVELOPMENT IN THE VISEGRAD COUNTRIES

The international ProSkill project, coordinated by UM, involved students, teachers and business professionals. The aim was to find out what skills are missing in the raw materials sector in the Visegrad countries. Furthermore, the labour market needs of companies in the Visegrad countries were aligned with existing educational practices in universities. This included structured surveys on students' skills.

In September, the World Rectors' Forum 2022 was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The Institute of Logistics represented the University of Miskolc. At the meeting, the Miskolc delegation discussed the promotion of bilateral scientific and technological relations with representatives of the participating universities and Kyrgyzstan's Ambassador to Hungary.

History with a witness - The youth of the University of Miskolc took a significant role in shaking the foundations of the communist dictatorship in 1956. Adventure - Sustainability and environment protection were in the focus of the program organised by the University of Miskolc for schoolchildren on the Day of Our Earth. Giving is good! - Since 2014, the University of Miskolc and the Hungarian Red Cross have been organizing food collections in connection with the World Food Day.

The Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College will launch a dual degree programme from the academic year 2022/2023 in cooperation with three Hungarian higher education institutions – Miskolc, Debrecen and Nyíregyháza -. The agreements were signed on 7 October.
